A New Residence

Referred by past clients Tim & Cynci Calvin, our new clients loved the quality of interior daylighting & innovative use of space the Calvin's enjoyed. They first approached Michael with their desire for an expressive and modern two-story home on a steeply sloped and heavily wooded canyon lot. The character of the land provided many challenges crying out for the creative solutions an accomplished architect could deliver. Currently, the design is nearing final development and moving towards construction. Michael greatly enjoys working with new clients in a shared vision of daring artistic expression that harmonizes with their personal style and responds to their needs and unique location.

Michael initialy started by showing them concept sketches, the first stages of design.

The exact location of the house was chosen for its views and how it would best blend with the existing topography and shape of the lot.

Looking west at the rear of the residence, one can see the overall consistency from concept sketch to final elevation rendering.

View looking east at the front of the residence.

The upper floor plan includes a fully customized kitchen, office, large deck, master suite, and guest bedroom among many other features that craft the perfect environment for its intended inhabitants.

The lower floor plan includes the garage with a dumbwaiter system linked to the pantry area above, space for a workshop, an exercise room, wine closet, and spacious den.
